On March 3, 2026, the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, hosted the юбilee tenth ceremony of the international Businesswoman & Businessman 2025 award, which recognizes outstanding achievements of women and men in entrepreneurship, management, and leadership.
Among the award winners is Yurii Fedorov, a member of the Board of Directors of Kharkiv Personal Protective Equipment Plant LLC, who received recognition in the “Socially Responsible Business” category. This distinction reflects not only effective management and business development, but also a consistent contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and supporting society during wartime.
Under the leadership of Yurii Fedorov, the Kharkiv Personal Protective Equipment Plant has become one of the key manufacturers of body armor, military uniforms, and tactical gear in Ukraine. The company not only meets market demand but also actively serves defense needs by implementing innovative protection solutions.
Yurii Fedorov is also a co-founder of the Lviv Defense Cluster, a unique initiative that has united businesses, volunteers, and the government to enable rapid production of protective equipment. Within this collaboration, tens of thousands of body armors have been produced and delivered free of charge to the military, along with more than 5,000 ultra-light medical and children’s evacuation body armors for medics and rescuers. These solutions have become critically important in saving lives both on the front line and in civilian areas.
In addition to its manufacturing activities, the company consistently supports initiatives aimed at the rehabilitation of military personnel and assistance to families of fallen soldiers, while continuing to provide ongoing support to the front.
The recognition of Yurii Fedorov in the “Socially Responsible Business” category highlights the important role of entrepreneurs who combine business development with an active civic position, invest in the country’s security, and shape a new culture of responsible entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
