While in Lviv, Aida Stepanchuk, Director of the Business Woman Magazine Representation in Armenia, took the opportunity to join the celebration of one of the oldest and brightest Armenian holidays — Vardavar.
She visited the Armenian Apostolic Church of Lviv, shared the joy of the holiday with the Armenian community, and, after the divine service, conversed with its representatives. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, they discussed shared ideas, cultural initiatives, the preservation of national traditions, and prospects for future cooperation.
Vardavar is one of the oldest Armenian holidays, with roots dating back to pre-Christian times. After the adoption of Christianity, it acquired a new spiritual meaning and is celebrated today by the Armenian Apostolic Church as the Transfiguration of the Lord. Its most famous tradition is the mutual splashing of water, which symbolizes purification, renewal, and goodwill.
On this day, Vardavar became not only a beautiful holiday, but also a wonderful opportunity for new acquaintances, inspiring communication, and strengthening friendly Ukrainian-Armenian ties.
