A large-scale international event took place in Calella (Barcelona, Spain), bringing together representatives from various countries around a shared value — peace. As part of the “Children’s Palms for Peace” project, an official Spanish Record was registered in the categories of “First Time” and “Mass Events” for the “Largest International Peace March.”
The initiators and record-holders were the NGO “Vsesvit z Ukrainoyu” (The World with Ukraine), led by Svitlana Merzlova, and the “Associació Ucraïnesa Razom,” led by Nataliia Kushniruk. They united the Ukrainian community, international partners, volunteers, and local residents around this vital initiative.

The march saw the participation of 1,450 people. Participants paraded through the city streets carrying 129 canvases featuring children’s handprints — symbols of peace, kindness, support, and hope. Children and adults from 30 countries contributed to these canvases, expressing their desire for a peaceful future and international unity through creativity.
The event served as a striking example of how grassroots initiatives can bring together people of different nationalities, cultures, and generations around shared humanitarian values.

Special guests included the Consul of Ukraine in Spain, Vitaliy Tsymbaliuk, and the Deputy Mayor of Calella, who led the procession and supported the international peacekeeping initiative.
The achievement was officially documented by the Book of World Records. This record stands not only as a significant milestone but also as a powerful symbol of international solidarity, support for children, and a collective aspiration for peace without borders.
