On March 24, an environmental tree-planting event took place in the Güzeloba district of Antalya, organized by the Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry on the occasion of the International Day of Forests and Forest Week.
Although light rain slightly interfered, the event was held at a high level with excellent organization.

Members of the NGO “Ukrainian Family,” led by the head of the organization and co-organizer of the “Greening the Planet” project, Vita Mykhailova, joined the tree planting and had the opportunity to communicate with the leadership of the regional forestry administration and the event organizers.
It was especially heartwarming that many children from schools and kindergartens participated, creating a warm and inspiring atmosphere.

Welcoming speeches were delivered by the Director of the Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry, Kemal Kayıran, and the Deputy Governor of Antalya, Mustafa Hulusi Arat, who emphasized the importance of environmental protection and fostering ecological awareness among young people.
The event became a great opportunity for the Ukrainian diaspora in Turkey not only to support an environmental initiative but also to strengthen community ties and express gratitude for the initiative. The “Ukrainian Family” NGO is a regular participant in tree-planting campaigns in Turkey. Over its 16 years of activity, the organization has repeatedly initiated tree planting, participated in events at the Ukrainian Culture Park in Antalya, and supported various environmental greening projects.

The Deputy Head of the organization, Kateryna Samoilyk, leads the Turkish representation of the international glossy magazine Business Woman, which actively supports global tree-planting initiatives and raises awareness about the need to restore ecosystems in Ukraine and worldwide.
The event left positive impressions on all participants and once again highlighted the importance of joint efforts to preserve the environment.
