Ukrainian Families Receive New Level of Support: Nearly 170,000 Families Already Utilizing Updated Assistance Program

Ukraine’s social support system continues to transform, becoming more accessible and focused on the real needs of its citizens. The updated assistance program has already reached nearly 170,000 Ukrainian families, providing them with financial support, consultations, and access to additional social services. This represents one of the state’s most significant steps toward strengthening social protection in recent years.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko.

According to experts, the updated system was designed to simplify the process of receiving aid and make it as digitalized as possible. Now, most applications can be submitted online, eliminating the need for lengthy visits to government offices. This is particularly crucial for families with children, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and those living in remote communities.

The program covers various types of support — from cash payments to social guidance. Special attention is given to low-income families, large families, and those facing difficult life circumstances. This approach provides not only temporary relief but also helps facilitate a more stable recovery of financial balance.

The government also emphasizes that the development of social programs is part of a long-term strategy to support the population. Future plans include expanding the range of services and further digitalizing processes to make the system even more efficient and transparent.

Experts note that the growing number of program participants reflects its high demand and the trust of the citizens. For many families, this support has become a vital resource during a period of economic challenges and transitions.
