Within the framework of National Poetry Reading Week, Ukrainian House in Tbilisi invites you to a special event — the creative evening “A Word on the ‘Caucasus’,” dedicated to the power of poetic words and the depth of Ukrainian-Georgian cultural ties.
The main guest of the meeting will be Raul Chilachava — poet, translator, and diplomat who has been shaping cultural dialogue between Ukraine and Georgia for decades, uniting the two countries through literature, translation, and shared values.
The event will take place on March 19 at 14:00 at the Ukrainian House in Tbilisi.
The central theme of the evening will be the reflection on the figure of Taras Shevchenko and his connection to the Caucasus. Participants will discuss the relevance of the Kobzar’s work today, his voice as a symbol of struggle, dignity, and freedom, as well as the place of his legacy in a broader cultural and historical context.
The event will take place with the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia, emphasizing the importance of cultural diplomacy and international dialogue in the modern world.
Guests of the evening can expect poetry readings, discussions on literature, translation, and cultural meanings, as well as reflections on the spiritual ties between Ukraine and the Caucasus.
This evening will be not only a literary event but also a space of profound meaning — about identity, memory, and the power of words that unite peoples and shape a common future.
The event is addressed to everyone who values intellectual dialogue, the power of culture, and the role of humanitarian initiatives in developing international partnerships.
