The humanitarian mission of the International Headquarters for Assistance to Ukrainians in the Kherson region has once again proven that systematic support for frontline areas continues without interruption, bringing together caring people from Ukraine and around the world.
This mission united participants, mentors, and partners of the Business Woman Club, international organizations, charitable foundations, and dozens of concerned individuals who jointly assembled humanitarian aid and personally traveled to the Kherson region to support those who need it most.
The first location was a modular town for internally displaced persons. Humanitarian aid was delivered there, including clothing, hygiene products, baby diapers, food, cosmetics, and generators. However, the most memorable moment was the meeting with children—sincere, emotional, and genuine. The young Ukrainians expressed their gratitude and performed the National Anthem of Ukraine, reminding everyone of what we are all fighting for.
The next stop was the Kherson Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, where the social and medical project “Healthy Mother — Healthy Child” was officially launched. The delegation reviewed the working conditions, communicated with medical staff, and provided essential assistance for children and mothers. As part of the project, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, and plans were announced to restore a dental office and a mother-and-child room with full equipment. There are also plans to purchase a specialized ambulance vehicle for serving remote communities.
The mission participants also visited the “Postup” children’s space, where they delivered educational materials, and toured the underground department of the Kherson City Perinatal Center. There, they witnessed the conditions in which medical professionals are working today and where new lives are being born. A symbolic moment was the meeting with the mother of a newborn baby girl—yet another reminder that life prevails.
The visit took place with the support of the Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, and the Head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko. We are grateful for their support, openness, and assistance in organizing access to critically important facilities.
This mission became possible thanks to numerous partners, each of whom deserves recognition.
Among those who contributed to the humanitarian aid and implementation of the mission were: the “Sky of Ukraine” Charity Foundation (Vladyslav Seniuta), the “Ukraine. Help. Breitscheid named after Saint Lawrence” Foundation, founder and professor of engineering and physics Heinrich Benner, the foundation’s curator in Ukraine Vasyl Petruk, the NGO “Kropyvnytskyi Regional Women’s Initiative” (Mariia Chorna), the Kropyvnytskyi Regional Center for Children and Youth Creativity, the NGO “MOZHU” (Alina Skomorokhova), the NGO “World Ukrainian Community,” NordHaus UA (Oksana Shoorlemmer), Gekkon (Artem Trufanov), and representatives from Slovenia, the “Berehynia” association (Halyna Malovšek).
Special thanks go to the participants, mentors, and partners of the Business Woman Club: Hanna Krysiuk, Borjanka Simičević, Yuliia Slaiman, Mariia Chorna, Andrii Dzhuranovych, Raisa Mykhailova, Vitalii Taradaiko, Vladyslav Seniuta, and everyone who contributed to fundraising, procurement, participation in the 38th humanitarian mission, and the delivery of aid to various institutions.
On behalf of the organizers, we sincerely thank everyone who became part of this mission—those who traveled to the frontline region, those who provided financial support, and those who united for a common goal and helped procure essential supplies.
Special gratitude is also extended to the regional and city leadership—Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin and Head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko—for their support and assistance in organizing visits to institutions that need help the most today.
Most importantly, we thank God and the Universe for the opportunity to return home alive.
At the end of April, we are planning the next humanitarian mission to the Kherson region. We invite everyone who wishes to help to join us.
Among the urgent needs are hygiene products, food, energy-saving equipment, fire extinguishers, clothing, and educational materials for children.
Within the framework of the “Healthy Mother — Healthy Child” project, the most critical needs include an ambulance vehicle, construction materials, and technical equipment for a dental office and a mother-and-child room.
Together, we prove that help cannot be stopped. Even in the darkest times, it is people who create the light.
