Second Day of the International Women’s Cybersecurity School: Results Summarized and Participants Awarded Certificates

The second day of the International Women’s Cybersecurity School focused on practical aspects of responding to cyber incidents, countering disinformation, and working through real online threat scenarios.

After discussing previous topics, participants moved to the key theme — the algorithm of actions in case of a cyber incident. Representatives from the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine — Senior Police Officer Vasyl Romanenko and Deputy Head of Department Andriy Deminsky — explained how to properly document violations, collect evidence, and interact with platforms, banking services, and relevant authorities.

Experts emphasized that the first minutes after an incident are critical. During this time, it’s essential not to lose digital traces, avoid deleting information, and follow a clear procedure, as this determines the success of further investigation.

A separate block was dedicated to countering disinformation and information-psychological operations. Political strategist Denys Bohush conducted a practical analysis of content on TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, and news resources, focusing on mechanisms of forming manipulative narratives and their impact on audiences.

During the workshop, participants practiced responding to real cyber incidents in social networks, messengers, and digital projects. The session, led by the founder of “Business Woman Club,” owner of Business Woman magazine, and General Director of the Book of World Records Hanna Krysiuk, was built around modeling real situations users face daily: from managing private and public pages on social media to participating in mass and state events. Special attention was given to reputational risks, account hacking threats, and algorithms for quick response and access recovery. Participants received practical recommendations for safe behavior in the digital environment and effective management of their online presence.

The module concluded with summarizing results and awarding certificates to offline-format participants. The presentation was conducted together with Hanna Krysiuk by Deputy Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Nataliia Havatiuk and Director of the Kyiv Region’s Regional Training Center, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Associate Professor Serhiy Lukin.

Organizers note that the acquired knowledge and skills have practical value and can be used both in professional activities and everyday life.
