NETWORTH by Unity Club Switzerland: How Strategic Connections Shape a New Generation of Leaders

In a world where technology is rapidly changing ways of communication and artificial intelligence is taking over more routine tasks, human relationships remain the true competitive advantage. Today, it is trust, reputation, and high-quality professional connections that determine the pace of career, business, and community initiative development.

This very topic was the focus of the NETWORTH intensive “Where Unity Builds Possibility,” organized by Unity Club Switzerland. The educational program brought participants together around a key question of modern leadership: how to transform a network of contacts into real social capital that delivers long-term results.

Over the course of three sessions, participants explored practical tools for building professional connections, developing partnerships, and creating effective communication ecosystems. The program served not only as a learning platform but also as a space for exchanging experience among individuals striving to develop their own projects, businesses, and community initiatives.

Special gratitude goes to the intensive’s speakers—Tetiana Lysenko and Kateryna Shyrkova—who presented a deep, structured, and highly practical approach to the topic of networking. Their experience and methodology allowed participants to view professional contacts not as random acquaintances, but as a strategic resource for development.

One of the central ideas of the program was the understanding that networking has long evolved beyond exchanging business cards or adding new contacts on social media. The true value lies in the quality of interaction, the level of trust, and the willingness to sustain relationships over a long period.

The concept of “weak ties”—people with whom we are not in daily contact but who can become a source of new opportunities, ideas, and partnerships—aroused particular interest. It is often these acquaintances that open the doors to new projects, international cooperation, and professional growth.

Another crucial conclusion was the realization that trust does not develop instantly. It is built gradually—through consistent actions, mutual support, and a sincere interest in others. Therefore, it is essential to build relationships long before the need arises to ask for help or support.

A separate block of the program focused on personal branding. In today’s digital environment, social networks are often the first point of contact between people. How clearly and professionally an individual is presented in the information space directly affects the perception of their expertise, values, and potential for cooperation.

For women leaders, this topic holds special significance. Today, the successful development of businesses, non-governmental organizations, and international projects is increasingly based not only on professional competencies but also on the ability to unite people around shared values and goals.

As President of the Swiss-Ukrainian Association VIDNOVA, founder of media projects, and organizer of international forums between Ukraine and Switzerland, I have repeatedly seen that the most important projects begin with human connections. Many successful partnerships, social initiatives, and international programs were born from a single meeting, a single recommendation, or a single meaningful conversation.

It is through high-quality professional relationships that an environment of trust is formed, allowing for the implementation of large-scale ideas and the creation of positive social change.

The main takeaway I drew from the NETWORTH intensive is that everyone already possesses their own network of contacts. The only question is whether we can consciously develop these connections, maintain them, and create a system of interaction that benefits all participants involved.

In the world of tomorrow, trust will remain the main currency. And where there is trust, openness, and readiness to cooperate, new opportunities, strong partnerships, and life-changing projects are always born.

The material was prepared following the NETWORTH intensive “The System: How the Network Works for You,” organized by Unity Club Switzerland. Business Woman magazine acted as the media partner for the event.
