Lviv has once again confirmed its status as the gastronomic capital of Ukraine. On June 20, a new Record of Ukraine was officially recorded here in the categories “First Time” and “Dimensions” — “The Largest Ball of Craft-Produced Mozzarella Cheese.”
The record-breaking mozzarella, weighing 7 kilograms 980 grams, was created by the team of the “Syrovarnia” (Cheese Dairy) restaurant. This achievement became the first in Ukraine in its category and demonstrated the high level of development of domestic craft cheesemaking.

Behind this large-scale result stands a team of professionals who work daily on product quality and the popularization of Ukrainian cheesemaking culture. Thanks to their craftsmanship, it was possible to create a unique cheese product that has entered the history of Ukrainian records.
During the solemn ceremony, diplomas from the Book of World Records were awarded to the “Syrovarnia” restaurant, the establishment’s owner Olga Melnyk, chef Dmytro Kozyr, as well as cheesemakers Oksana Boiko, Oksana Cherniavska, and Mariia Petrushkevych.
The record was officially registered by the representatives of the Book of World Records in the Lviv region, Snizhana Rozsudovska and Bohdan Kysil.

This record became not only a gastronomic achievement but also an example of how Ukrainian business continues to develop, create unique products, and form new quality standards. Craft production today is an important part of the Ukrainian economy and culture, and such initiatives contribute to the popularization of local producers both in Ukraine and abroad.
We congratulate the team of the “Syrovarnia” restaurant on this new achievement and wish them new records, bold ideas, and further development of Ukrainian gastronomy.
