On May 9, a special cultural project will premiere in Tbilisi — the performance “Romantik” by the discussion and poetry club “DePo” (Georgia–Ukraine).
This contemporary refugee performance unfolds in six scenes, blending theatre, poetry, and deep reflection. The production is inspired by a novella by Mykola Khvylovy, reinterpreted through the lens of today’s realities.
The project is supported by Valentina Mardjanishvili, head of the Ukrainian House in Tbilisi — a key space for uniting the Ukrainian community and promoting cultural initiatives abroad.
The creative team behind “DePo” brings together artistic expression and personal stories, featuring director and actress Malvina Korzh, actress Iyu Stihiynaya, as well as actors Danylo, Mykyta, Yelyzaveta, and sound engineer Leonid.
A special highlight of the evening will be an open discussion following the performance, offering the audience a chance to reflect, share insights, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
The atmosphere will be complemented by a curated menu from Cafe The Cinnamon Cat, featuring Ukrainian dishes and signature drinks.
Date: May 9
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: 3–5 Galaktion Tabidze Street, Tbilisi
Admission is by donation (10 GEL) in support of the Ukrainian House.
More than just a performance, this is a space for emotional connection, dialogue, and reflection — where art becomes a language of shared experience.
