During their stay in Slovenia, Ukrainian children participated in a special meeting that proved once again that kindness, sincerity, and humanity know no borders. They visited the Nina Pokorn Home (Dom Nine Pokorn), a residence for people with special needs, offering them not only a creative performance, but also a piece of their hearts.
Ukrainian songs resounded, genuine smiles were shared, and the atmosphere was filled with warmth and mutual support. Following the concert program, the children, together with the residents of the facility, created symbolic little angels and birds — small talismans of peace, hope, and goodness. Embedded in each piece were children’s dreams, prayers for peace, and faith in the future.
What is particularly touching is that these Ukrainian children have themselves experienced war, forced displacement, and separation from home. Despite their own pain, they came not to receive support, but to offer it to others. It is precisely actions like these that best demonstrate the true strength of the Ukrainian people — the ability to empathize, support, and unite people even in the most difficult times.
Such initiatives are an important component of public diplomacy, as it is through genuine human encounters that mutual understanding between countries is built, and Ukrainian culture and values resonate in the hearts of people far beyond Ukraine’s borders.

Ukrainian children have proven once again that even while knowing the true price of war, they continue to bring light, love, and faith in goodness into the world. That is why they are true little ambassadors of Ukraine.
