Let’s remember how it happened: Ukraine’s largest swing set a national record in Zakarpattia

In August 2022, on the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day, a record was set in Zakarpattia that became a symbol of creativity, perseverance, and love for one’s native land. The largest swing in Ukraine was officially recorded on the premises of the “Rancho Highland” farm in the Khust region.

Its height reached 11.6 meters, surpassing the previous national record and carving a new achievement into the history of Ukrainian record-making.

The material was prepared based on information from the Book World Records.

The project was initiated by the farm’s founders, Vasyl and Lesya Yakubets. According to Vasyl Yakubets, the family originally planned to build a traditional folk swing on the farm’s grounds as a tourist attraction. However, after purchasing the materials, the idea arose to create the largest swing in Ukraine.

Upon learning that the previous record belonged to an 11-meter-high structure in Volyn, the couple decided to raise the bar. The result was an 11.6-meter-high swing, officially certified by representatives of the Book of Records of Ukraine.

This story serves as another example of how a bold idea, family teamwork, and the drive to create something unique can turn into an achievement of national scale. Even in challenging times for the country, Ukrainians continued to bring ambitious, inspiring projects to life.
