International Security and New Geopolitical Realities: Outcomes of the Yerevan Dialogue 2026 Forum

On May 5–6, the international forum “Yerevan Dialogue 2026” took place in Yerevan, serving as one of the region’s largest platforms for political and security dialogue. For the third consecutive year, the forum gathered leading politicians, diplomats, parliamentarians, experts, and representatives of international organizations in the Armenian capital to discuss key global challenges.

This year’s program focused on issues of international security, the consequences of military conflicts, the transformation of the world order, and the role of middle powers in the new geopolitical reality. Over the course of two days, Yerevan hosted panel discussions, closed-door meetings, inter-parliamentary consultations, and negotiations between representatives of various nations.

The forum demonstrated a high level of international representation and served as another signal of Armenia’s active advancement toward European integration. In recent years, Yerevan has been increasingly integrating into the European political and security space, and the Yerevan Dialogue itself is gradually establishing its position as a vital platform for strategic dialogue between Europe, the South Caucasus, and international partners.

Ukraine was represented at the event by Member of Parliament Dmytro Mykysha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Nataliia Galibarenko, and Olena Shevchuk, Advisor to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Armenia.

The participation of the Ukrainian delegation became a key element in developing the Ukrainian-Armenian dialogue amidst contemporary challenges.

Against the backdrop of intensifying relations between Ukraine and Armenia, the forum in Yerevan is also viewed as a platform for forming new formats of cooperation—at the levels of diplomacy, parliaments, civil society, and international organizations.
