Electricity tariffs for businesses in Ukraine may increase, while there have been no official statements about changing electricity prices for household consumers so far. This was reported by Novyny.LIVE, citing Oleh Pendzyn, an expert from the Economic Discussion Club.
According to the expert, the need to review tariffs is an expected market response. This is due to the need to restore energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks and ensure the stable operation of the energy system during the war.
At the same time, higher electricity costs for businesses may affect not only companies themselves. As Oleh Pendzyn noted, producers and suppliers will likely include additional expenses in the cost of goods and services. As a result, consumers may face higher prices in stores.
Currently, there is no information about a possible increase in electricity tariffs for households.
