Business Woman in Skive: Knowledge, Stories and New Connections

On September 26, a meeting titled “Vocational Education — Your Real Opportunities” was held in Skive, organized by Business Woman Denmark.

The evening began with the presentation of the new issue of Business Woman magazine, No. 43, and an introduction to the international Business Woman platform. At the same time, the meeting became much more than simply a conversation about education.

For the Business Woman team, it is important to show that the publication is not only the pages of a magazine, but also an international community, live meetings, new professional connections, opportunities for development, and a platform for sharing the stories of Ukrainian women far beyond the borders of one country.

The main educational part of the evening featured presentations by three speakers — Nadiia, Mariia and Oksana, each of whom has her own professional journey in Denmark.

Nadiia presented her journey through the Danish vocational education system in a structured way, using a presentation and specific examples.

Mariia shared her experience of changing careers later in life — from working on a farm to pursuing a Kontoruddannelse med speciale i administration. She spoke about education, combining professional development with family life, elevplads, and alternative opportunities.

Oksana spoke about starting her professional journey after being forced to relocate to Denmark, studying in the IT field, and her path to an elevplads at Siemens Energy.

The participants’ response to the meeting was particularly important. The guests not only listened to the presentations but also took notes, photographed information from the slides, asked questions, and exchanged business cards and contacts with the speakers.

Among the guests was a man who attended on behalf of his wife, as she was unable to be present. This became another indication that information about vocational education, training and employment opportunities in Denmark is relevant not only to individuals but also to families building their future in the country.

According to the programme, the meeting was scheduled to end at around 8:00 p.m., but the conversations continued for several more hours. Most of the guests stayed in Skive until around 10:00 p.m.

After the presentations, the networking continued: guests asked the speakers personal questions, exchanged experiences and contacts, and discussed education, employment and their future professional plans.

It was this part of the meeting that demonstrated the relevance of such formats and the importance of creating a space for open professional communication.

For Business Woman Denmark, this meeting will not be a one-time event. The team plans to organize a series of practical meetings in Denmark dedicated to different professions, education, career development and entrepreneurship.

The events will bring together people who are already working in various fields and are ready to share not only stories of professional success but also practical experience: how to start a career path, where to study, what challenges one may face, and what opportunities are available in Denmark.

Business Woman Denmark thanks speakers Nadiia, Mariia and Oksana for their preparation, openness and willingness to share their experience.

Special thanks go to everyone who joined the meeting, asked questions, made new connections, exchanged experiences and stayed until the end of the evening.

Business Woman is a magazine.
Business Woman is an international platform.
But above all, Business Woman is about people and their stories.

The meeting in Skive became another confirmation of this philosophy and a continuation of the development of the international Business Woman Denmark community.
