Business Woman Club Business Mission in Qingdao: New Contacts, Technologies, and Opportunities for Cooperation

The business mission of the Ukrainian delegation of the Business Woman Club, organized in cooperation with the Qingdao Women Entrepreneurs Association, has concluded in Qingdao. The final part of the program combined an introduction to Chinese culture and manufacturing, visits to technology enterprises, and a series of working meetings dedicated to logistics, building materials, energy, and safety. This was reported by the Business Woman Club.

One of the locations of the final day was Qingdao Hailiya Group (Haili), a company specializing in safety and rescue technologies. The Ukrainian delegation was introduced to the company’s production areas, particularly high-strength ropes and synthetic cables used in the aerospace industry, deep-sea exploration, and rescue and evacuation operations.

The participants were also shown emergency rescue equipment: first-aid kits, devices for locating people under rubble, emergency thermal blankets, heat-retaining films, and other solutions for emergency response. Separately, the delegation learned about Haili’s educational programs, which teach children behavioral safety rules during fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

Logistics was another key focus of the final business agenda. During a meeting with representatives of Qingdao Rongshengda International Logistics, the Ukrainian and Chinese sides discussed freight transportation arrangements between China and Ukraine, potential routes, delivery timelines, and international supply chain optimization. Practical logistics considerations are one of the critical elements in advancing trade ties between both nations, particularly for businesses seeking market entry into either Ukraine or China.

In addition, the mission members held negotiations regarding the supply of construction materials. A Chinese company specializing in structural steel manufacturing showcased its capacities and expressed readiness to explore direct shipments to Ukraine. Providing supplies for residential and industrial infrastructure reconstruction projects stands out as a promising avenue of cooperation.

Another segment of the negotiations centered on the energy sector. The Ukrainian delegation met with representatives of solar panel manufacturers to discuss options for supplying relevant solutions to the Ukrainian market. Following the meetings, the Chinese side is preparing tailored commercial proposals. Key areas of prospective collaboration include solutions for decentralized energy generation and bolstering Ukraine’s energy resilience.

The cultural component became another highlight of the mission’s final day. Ukrainian women entrepreneurs explored the heritage of production and consumption surrounding the renowned Chinese liquor Guizhou Moutai. The participants also visited a traditional Chinese steamed bun production facility, where they observed the distinctive preparation process and joined the hosts in hand-crafting them. This experience successfully blended the official business itinerary with firsthand immersion into Chinese culinary traditions.

These final meetings marked the continuation of the Ukrainian delegation’s business itinerary in Qingdao, aimed at forging direct ties with Chinese businesses and uncovering tangible avenues for cooperation. Logistics, building materials, energy, safety tech, and manufacturing served as dedicated fields where both sides identified key prospects for future partnership.

The Business Woman Club expresses its gratitude to the Qingdao Women Entrepreneurs Association for organizing the meetings, their warm hospitality, and their openness to dialogue. Special appreciation is extended to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ukraine and to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC, Ma Shengkun, for supporting the business mission and fostering the development of Ukrainian-Chinese relations.
