In honor of the Independence Day of Ukraine, two sports records set by service members of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy were officially registered in Lviv.
Book World Records reports this.
Lieutenant Colonel Mykola Bohovyk, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Training and Sports and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, covered a distance of 1,000 meters by performing burpees while wearing military uniform and a 7.5 kg plate carrier. His final time was 36 minutes and 30 seconds. The serviceman had been preparing for this record for over a year, training daily.

“When it gets tough for me, I think of the people who have it even harder. First and foremost, this record is dedicated to them—to those in the trenches protecting our country,” stated Mykola Bohovyk.

Another achievement was accomplished by Senior Lieutenant Anzhelika Namiesnik, head of the training complex at the Department of Physical Training and Sports and an academy alumna. Within one hour, she performed 1,565 snatches with a 12 kg kettlebell, using arbitrary hand switches. The record was registered in the “Sports” and “First Time” categories.

“As a coach, I have to demonstrate peak results. It is all done so that cadets come to kettlebell lifting, train, set goals, and achieve them,” shared Anzhelika Namiesnik.
Both achievements were officially registered by representatives of the “Book of World Records,” Ivan Lozan and Nadiia Lozan, alongside an expert panel comprising Maksym Babych, Dmytro Kurochkin, and Oleksandr Lytvyn. The record-holders were awarded “Book of World Records” diplomas.

These two records stand as a testament not only to physical endurance, but also to the strength of character and professional motivation of service members who inspire the next generation of Ukraine’s defenders through their personal achievements.
